What can I expect from Plied & Prejudice?
Plied and Prejudice is a comedic adaptation of Jane Austen's much loved classic Pride and Prejudice. The experience is a theatre show where 5 actors scramble to play all the characters in the book. The show also hosts guests for a party at the Pemberley Pleasure gardens with live music and cocktails.
The show is fun, silly, and will be a hit for lovers of the books, films and people who enjoy having a good time.
Where is the experience located?
The show is held at The Vaults in Waterloo. Access to the venue is from Launcelot Street, just off Lower Marsh, a five minute walk from Waterloo Station.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
This show is held indoors. However, travel to the venue from the road and car parks is uncovered. Please consider this in your travel plans.
How long does the experience last?
The performance is 120 minutes. Doors open at the time stated on your ticket and the show will start 30 minutes later. Don't forget to stick around afterwards for the party after the show!
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes, there will be small snacks and plenty of drinks available to suit your taste.
Please look at your ticket to confirm if food is included in your booking. Gluten-free options are available but must be booked in advance when you purchase your ticket. For more information, please check your purchase confirmation email.
How should I get there?
The easiest way to get to the venue is from Waterloo Station, which is on the Bakerloo, Northern (Charing Cross Branch), Jubilee, and Waterloo & City lines of the London Underground, and National Rail services.
Will there be additional sessions?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be additional dates. However, follow us on Instagram and you will be the first to know!
Is there a dress code?
We encourage you to dress up to your heart's content! But fabulous costumes are not required.
Will there be interaction with the performers?
Yes, our performers will at times coerce you into their world. Our recommendation? Go with it and have a laugh!
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes, there will be merchandise hand selected for your pleasure available on site only.
Seating and chairs information:
The higher you are in the social (seating) classes, the more comfortable your seating receptacle.
- Paupers are small wooden stools without a back, please keep this in mind when booking your seats.
- Middle Class are is seating with backs but off to the sides
- Upper Class are seats with backs in a great position.
- Aristocrats have more space and padding.
- Lady Catherine de Bourgh tickets include a beautiful chaise lounge with a private table and comes with 2 x glasses of prosecco.
TICKETS
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We will not have a box office on site. However, you can still buy tickets online up until the show starts. Please note, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App or on the Fever website.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, your contactless tickets will be validated at the door.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?
Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience. In such a case, please contact us indicating your ticket ID. Refunds are not permitted, except as required under Australian Consumer Law. For more information, you can refer to our T&Cs.
ACCESS
How should I get there?
BY UNDERGROUND TRAIN / FOOT
- Exit Waterloo Station via Exit Two onto Waterloo Road (there should be a Sainsbury's opposite). Turn right and walk towards the Old Vic. Turn right onto Bayliss Road. Take the second right on to Lower Marsh.
- For our Launcelot Entrance walk for 100m, past Vodafone, and turn right onto Launcelot Street.
- For our Leake Street Entrance walk for 150m and turn right into a tunnel (Leake Street, grafitti tunnel). The Vaults will be visible on your right hand side.
- For entrance to The Vaults Studio walk for 200m and turn right at 139 Lower Marsh, just after the Stowaway hotel.
BY CAR
- Exit onto Leake Street via York Road. Opposite London Eye landmark.
- Closest parking available at Upper Marsh, SE1 7ER.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
We encourage you to arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to the ticketed start time to enjoy some drinks before the show starts.
At a minimum, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ticketed start time, allowing you to grab a drink and find your seat before the show starts.
Please note latecomers may not be permitted.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Pets are not permitted at this event.
Our event is operating in a unique, non-theatre space. Service animals are permitted, though we require you to let us know prior so we can ensure you and your service animal are seated in a suitable area. Please contact us at info@pliedandprejudice.com to book your tickets.
Is the venue accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible. However, please be aware that the ground is uneven in places.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
Smoking and Vaping are not permitted in the event space including the surrounding areas. Smoking and vaping must be done at least 5 metres from the event fenceline.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Guests who require assistance throughout the experience can request a free ticket for their personal carer. Please contact us HERE with proof that you require an assistance ticket.
As soon as we receive this, we will send you a voucher code that you can redeem to purchase your free carer ticket.
Please, remember that you must present this voucher along with your ticket to enter the venue. Each carer ticket must be purchased with at least one other full-price ticket.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
Unfortunately, this event could not accommodate for deaf and visually impaired persons. We are doing our best to make all our experiences inclusive and would recommend you take a look at other experiences in your city.
Will there be strobe lights?
This event won't include strobe lights.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
This is primarily a seated performance, while the show begins in the Pemberley Pleasure Gardens seating will be limited until in the theatre where everyone will be seated according to their ticket type.
Will restrooms be available on site?
This venue has restrooms—please ask our staff on site for directions.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Photos and video are allowed pre and post show in the Pemberley Pleasure Gardens. Phones are also allowed to be used to order drinks to your seats during the performance.
Is there a Lost & Found?
We would recommend you ask the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. If you cannot ask them on site, please reach out via email at info@pliedandprejudice.com.
Is coat check available?
This venue does not have a coat check—please do not bring bulky items.
Is there an age requirement?
The content of this performance is only suitable for audiences 18+. Customers under 25 will be required to show a valid form of ID.
Will there be an audio guide?
Unfortunately, this performance does not include an audio guide.
